I now have a little time and a desire to do the blog I started a few days ago.
My PMS is gone and my cold is tucking tail and getting ready to flee.
My kids are still fighting but a little garden weeding and a few noses in the corner and I think I may stay sane for a little while longer.
Christian has fled the coup for a scout camp and I have some me time after the kids are in bed, so what better way to salute a long week.
BLOG
Well last week Christian and I finished our CPR course and I am happy to have been able to spend that time with him so he can get ready to start his EMT course in the fall.
Not only is he certified, but he was able to apply his new found knowledge when someone he works with fell and fractured his hip and tore his nose.
He now knows that a uninjured partner in a CPR course cooperates a lot better than a real live, in shock patient.
Last Friday also brought around my yearly Crawford reunion.
This year I came prepared for the SIL Drama and was not disappointed. But it brushed off easily by all and we ended up having a good time.
My kids as always had fun, and I just let them run to there hearts content. With so much family around they were well watched over and I just had to lift my head and see who was with them and back to relaxing I went.
It's nice now that Caitlyn is grown up a bit and she has a little more adventuresome spirit than the others at her age. She love to run and just be with the other kids.
Madison was her usual self and kept me on my toes. She love to hang out with her cousin Rylee when her other cousin Jaxon lets her. The finally all played together and had a great time.
Dallin and Logan have started to play more together and I couldn't look for one and not find the other. They played baseball and horse shoes and followed uncle Lucus everywhere. (because he is so cool)
We did a bit of paddle boat racing and of course my kids didn't want to be in my boat, so they went with there older cousins
They couldn't keep the boat straight so they ended up paddling backwards. (Then Dallin says he wants to go with me next time so that they can go forward faster) See Mom's not so bad.
Near our tent the kids found a robins nest with three little hatching's in it. They loved to watch the momma bird feed the chicks.
With the reunion over and some time left in the weekend (and Christian came after working all weekend)
we spent the day up at Writing on Stone.
The kids had a blast climbing in the hoo doos and trying to find artifacts (Which they didn't because they are probably already archived in some museum)
Christian even acted like a kid and was jumping around too.
I love it when he spends time with the kids and I can just sit back and watch.
They followed him around like little ducklings.
My Brother Cody is a Geo caching nut (http://www.geocaching.com/) and the kids love to follow him on his little treasure hunts. They found one treasure up at our campsite on the weekend and we went searching for another up at writing on stone. This one was tough and they never did find it. That was a first with my kids and they did not like it. Dallin kept begging to go a find another so they could find a treasure and "The trip won't be a waste"
(where do they come up with this stuff)
After a whole weekend of junk food and potluck I was tire of feeling bloated (PMS didn't help)
and yucky so I found a light and easy recipe to make. It turned out really good and Christian even liked it (after adding ranch dressing of course)

Here is a link to the recipe, It is so good my kids even liked it.
Now that Christian is gone for a few days on his scout camp and there is rain in the forecast the library has become my new best friend. So today I went and picked the thickest book that I could find that I thought would keep my attention.

816 pages and a true story. I really hope I can sit back and enjoy it when the kids go to bed.
