What they Said

You know being a stay at home mom can get really intense some times. The lack of adult conversation (or human conversation as one friend put it) can really get to you.
But today I thought I would really listen to what my little ones had to say and it just brought a few of their more quirky comments to mind and I thought I would blog a bit about them so I can remember the smile I get when they say the silliest things.

Like the other day Caitlyn and I were sitting on the couch playing and she pulls back on my shirt and looks down.
Okay weird!!
Then she pulls back her shirt and looks down and says
" I don't have none"
 I couldn't stop laughing!!

Logan is always full of beans and says the most ridiculous things.
The other day he wanted to go outside and play. All the other kids were at school so I told him to stay off the hay bales just in case he falls in between and cannot get out.
He says to me "Its okay Mom, if I fall in I will just wait until Dallin gets home. He'll help me out"
Okay not reassuring but funny!!

Again Logan came home from preschool and started telling me about his day. He tells me the he was the special leader and that he got to pick a prize. It was a whistle and it's in his back pack. Then he got really quite.
Finally he says "I wasn't really the special leader to day someone else got the whistle, but I really wanted one"
The guilt really got to him!!

Logan is a really slow eater, but he also hate to be the last one at the table. At supper tonite, he is still eating and everyone else is downstairs watching a movie but me, I am sitting on the couch reading, waiting for him to finish.
he got really quite and I see him out of the corner of my eye slowly walking to the stairs.
Without looking up I tell him to get back to the table and eat.
He say "How do you always see me, I am trying to be invisible?!?"

I think life would be dull if I didn't have these kids to keep me on my toes. I am going to try and pay a little closer attention to them and have a few more HUMAN conversations with them. Who knows I may be the one to learn something new.

  1. Super cute. Invisible, so funny cause I'm sure that they all try to get away with so much thinking that they won't be seen. Gotta love bein a mom.
