I just had the most amazing and uplifting weekend away.
Me and My Mom attended the Calgary
TIME OUT FOR WOMEN
And I have to say I was impressed with all that I learned and the spirit I felt there.
Hundreds of Women from all over Alberta, and BC were there.
I saw so many friends I haven't seen in a long time.
It was great to reconnect and I got to spend time with some of my good friends from here too.
This was my first time going to something like this and I have to say (besides the uncomfortable chairs) It was amazing.
I learned so much about myself and my potential.
It made we want to improve and stretch myself a little bit more everyday.
I want to share some of my favorite one liners of the weekend:
"A rose is a rose from the time it is a seed until the time it blooms."
"What lies behind us and what lies before us is not as important as what lies within us."
"It's the storm thats bound to blow away not you"
"Pray, think and live with Faith."
"Don't you dare be the one thing that is standing in your way!"
"You are Worth it."
And my favorite speaker of the whole weekend had to be Kris Belcher. She lost her site to cancer and she is taking like a trooper. She was funny and serious all in one. She made me laugh until I cried and only cried more because what she said spoke to the broken parts in me and made me want to fix them by helping those around me.
She suggested we turn our complaints in to prayer and then they will become Holy. She also said we should live a vertical life always looking up to God.
My favorite thing she said was that God will give us thing we cannot handle but that he also gave us a Savior so that we may have our burdens lifted.
What a women.
What it weekend.
It made me think a do a little searching of something I can do to become.
And I decided I wanted to become a more Grateful person.
So I did a bit of browsing online, because you can find everything online; and I came across a website called
This women took 365 pictures, one per day of all the things she was grateful for. She said it started out to be a hard project, but as she pressed forward she found she looked forward to it everyday.
So I am going to take on this challenge.
Starting tomorrow,
(because i didn't pull out my camera today)
I am going on my 365 grateful Journey
Join me if you like and link up too if I can work out how
(I am still a little bit of a blogging newbie)
I would love to see all you are grateful for.
