Live each day like it really Matters

Life can be wonderful.

My kids are playing quietly together downstairs.
I now believe in miracles!!
(well I always have but this kind of miracle is wonderful)
I know what some of you are thinking. Quiet probably means trouble. I thought that too. But I checked ( I peeked around the corner ) and really they are just playing good together.
I think my plan is finally working. Christian and I sat and talked about the kids behavior and decided it wasn't really all there fault (the fighting). We figured maybe if we spent more time together doing family stuff they could see that it doesn't take much to get along.
And It seems to be working.
Instead of a 10 minute Family Home Evening, we did our lesson and then played a board game together.
We have been kneeling for prayers.
We spent the day together in Waterton.
We have gone camping together. (a few times)
We had a family movie night (popcorn included)
We took to kids out to a movie (popcorn included)
We drove to the lake just to throw rocks in it.
We have had family BBQ's
We are working together in the garden.
We are also working together in the house.
Dad is taking the kids one on one more.
And so am I
And after all this I still love them and I am finding that being with my family is really fun.
I truly feel like we are growing closer as a family but that by no means makes us anywhere close to perfect. the kids still fight, I still yell (or use my loud voice), Christian still works lots. But all these flaws make us what we are.
A Family
So after all that rambling (or is that what blogging is) I think I will add a few pics of these last few weeks.

Sweet and Sour
She can be both and just in a matter of minutes too!

The kids did really well in there swim lessons this year. I was so proud of how each one of the has improved over the year. Dallin can swim the deep end by himself with no life jacket.
Madison will go in the water now without the life jacket but stills need a floaty in the deep end.
And Logan is getting in the water and trying all sorts of new things. (last year he clung to me like a barnacle)

And Caitlyn is the watcher of it all. She is still to scared to get into the water. When I take her swimming we sit in the shallow end or baby pool for at least and hour before she will stand up and splash around a bit.

Madison is finally losing her front teeth. I say finally because she wore those front teeth down to nothing on sippy cups when she was little and I would love to see her with a beautiful toothy smile again.

My Darling Caitlyn found some nail polish. When I found her in the den she says to me
"Momma I paint my toes"
Literally

I took this in Waterton up at Cameron Lake.
"Look Daddy a horse"
Too funny
I just love that she is talking and articulating her words so well. And with all the talk her little sense of humor is coming out too.

Thanks for taking the time and reading about our wild bunch.
