Live each day like it really Matters

I have gone and done it. I started a project and it is only half done and sitting waiting to be finished.
This seems to be a theme with me sometimes and I am going to make a goal to finish all the unfinished projects I have lying about.
First I am going to finish the quilt I started for Madison's bed.
I purchased this layer cake from
I cut all the pieces I needed and even sewed 1/4 of the quilt top together.
Then I was distracted and have not gotten back to doing it.

So Here is my goal.

Finish the quilt by the end of September.

I will update on my progress and completion. (I hope)

My next project is some baby blankets I have been crocheting for my sister and my sister in law.
Each baby is due soon, one in September the other in December.

Again my goal.

To finish before the babies are born!

Sounds like a lot of work. But with both kids in school all day and Logan in 1/2 days, Caitlyn likes to sit and watch me so I think I can do it.

I am also working on a set of Chore blocks I found on a web page

I am also cutting out another set for a friend and hope she may be able to get hers done in better time than I am making.

So I am putting down my book (which is a real sacrifice because I love a good read) and I am hitting the craft table hard this next month.

I have to remember too. Christmas is around the corner and there is nothing better than a homemade Christmas.

  1. I love that chore idea thing. I too am thinking of what I can make for Christmas, because if I don't start now, I just might not finish!

  2. I also like the chore thingy. I was telling the kids today that chores start up again on Monday. It was met by a chorus of groans. (Secretly I was grinning) Now if only I could chose what to have them do. But that's one of my goals is to get my house dunged out and spotless. So I like your idea of having your goals set for the month. I might be stealing that!! Haven't seen you in forever! Hope all is well!! L

  3. Love all your craft ideas. I too have a million projects and nothing finished. So I'll make a goal like yours or pay someone to do it (just kidding but sometimes I think it would be a lot easier)
