Yippee!
Yippee definition, (an exclamation used to express joy, exultation, or the like.)
School is back in and I am so happy. I didn't shed one tear about it, which is quite miraculous considering my leaky tear ducts.
Now the kids both shed a few tears, nerves and all! I should have had a bit more sympathy but I was way too excited for the freedom.
We got up early (6:30) got breakfast (steel cut oats) got dressed, brushed teeth and made beds.
Then we read scriptures (1 Nephi 1) and said prayers and then looked at the clock! 7:40
What! Why did we get up so early.
Oh yeah the bus usually shows up at 7:45
So I pulled out the camera and did my first day of school shots of the kids and the puttered around the house finding shoes and keys and stuff because the kids where waiting impatiently in the truck and I was trying to stall. I didn't want to show up 1/2 early.
When we finally did leave and got to the school the kids nerves really kicked it up a notch. Dallin started getting upset when we dropped of Madison and then Madison cried during recess (Dallin saw her) But they worked it out and are excited for day 2 tomorrow (So am I)
Now before all the excitement of school we had to do the prep work for it. So off we all went (all 6 of us) down to Great Falls for a little school shopping.
And it was really worth it
Jeans $6
Shirts $5
Crayons $0.25
Shoes $15
I even splurged and bought myself a new hoodie for $30
I have to say Big R is my favorite store down there!
We even took some time off to have some fun.
When we got back the summer weather just wasn't going to stick around. The wind was blowing and it was chilly so the kid thought it would be fun to pull out the kite and do a bit of fall activities!
They each had to have a turn and of course the all wanted there picture taken to prove that they actually flew the kite and not Mom!
When they nice weather came back, My Mom call and said she wanted one last camping trip in before they season ended so we packed up our sleeping bags and headed out to St. Mary's for the weekend. Not only was it freezing that night but in the morning there was a huge thunderstorm right over top of us.
All the kids were scared (except Madison she thought it was funny)
but the sun finally came out and the tent dried out and the kids had fun.
My Grandpa was there and of course had to do a little bit of fishing.
When the kids found out ( there was about 10 of them in all (my cousins kids too))
they all trucked it down to the river to watch great grandpa fish!
It was nice to sit around and visit with no kids to interupt.
but Grandpa had to come back sometime!
I love my grandpa
And to end this little blog I just had to add a picture of Caitlyn.
In her gum boots and a skirt.
This is so typical of my girls.
Mom says they take after me!
I hope so!!
Cute! I was so excited for school to start too. Time to get the house back in order, so I can function properly.
