Family Week

To kick off Family week around here, it was a bit of a celebration. We held off Madison's Birthday party until the weekend and celebrated with dinner and movie with a couple of her friends. Now we did the same thing with Dallin for his birthday in January but this was a totally different experience.
With the boys the ride to town was quiet and when it came to food they were bottomless pits.
But with the Girls, HOLY COW. We were not even 5 minutes from town and Christian was ready to take them back home.
The  chit chat and the squealing and laughing and jokes.
I just had to sit back and laugh too.
And when we went to eat, none of them finished there food.
But I guess this is just the start of the differences we are going to be seeing around here with the
BOY vs GIRL
And here I thought Madison was a tomboy.
She did want a volcano cake for her birthday, Why????
I have no clue.
But this is what I came up with and she was happy

And we all had a laugh when she blew out only one candle. (six boyfriends, I am in trouble)

Monday being the official Family day we invited my parents out for the day and my brother came too with his kids.
We had fun playing games and the kids had a blast outside.
You see with all the warming a freezing around here the the small puddle in front of our house turned into a perfect skating rink. And sunday the wind blew all the snow off it and polished it smooth. They donned there skates, took out the sleds and had so much fun.

Today has been board game day, and monopoly is the word of the day for sure.
Five hours, yes five. That is the longest my kids have been occupied at one time and not had a single fight.

I don't know how the rest of the week is going to go but I am optimistic.
If all else fails I can teach the a little about hard work.
They always chases the boredom away!
